I am a born again Christian and lover of Christ. I am an American that happens to be black. I am a freethinking conservative that votes most often Republican. However, according to then candidate Biden, if I am black I should have voted for him in 2020 for President of the United States.
Going through the same steps above, I did and could not vote for Obama in 2008 nor in 2012.
People often vote Republican because Republicans offer moral clarity with a simple vision of good and evil that activates deep-seated fears in much of the electorate. Democrats, in contrast, appeal to reason with their long-winded explorations of policy options for a complex world. I am not demonizing voters that vote wholeheartedly Democratic nor placing halos on voters that tend to vote Republican. Most of my church and family members vote Democratic and they are good people. However, good people can still make bad choices depending on the lens that they look through.
Since the 2016 presidential election there has been a movement to reveal the Deep State and how fake news has penetrated so deep into the soul of America’s psyche. In every news cycle would be mention of “the narrative” that the radical left uses in presidential elections years to get voters to the polls. Whether it is the poverty pimps preaching that black and brown citizens are racially profiled or protestors calling for police reform, their tongues drip poison that America is a racist country and that conservatives perpetuate it.
Our mainstream media sources like ABC News, CBS, MSNBC and the like gaslight the minds of their viewership when they half report news stories with sound bites and clips that do not tell the full story. During the Charlottesville fiasco in 2017 when a group of white supremacists made a scene, even to this day President Trump is seen as a racist. President Trump CONDEMNED the actions of those White Nationalists but all that was heard on ABC News from President Trump was that there were good people on both sides.
He who controls the narrative can often dictate what people believe or think is true. The American media has a leftist bent that unless you do your own research and pray, you would believe that America is racist, sexist and xenophobic country. Controlling the narrative is not new and is an agent that has been employed to promote an agenda for centuries. As a believer in Christ as Lord, even His resurrection was marred in conspiracy.
In Matthew 28:15, the chief priests and elders began the first day after Jesus' resurrection bribing Roman soldiers to lie (Matthew 28:1–14). The men were instructed to say Jesus was still dead. In truth, the Messiah had come and died and come back to life, yet Israel's religious leaders were working hard to keep people from believing it.
They bribed the Roman soldiers who saw the angel from heaven open the tomb to say that Jesus' followers had caught them napping in the night and had stolen the body. They promised to bribe Pilate, as well, if the story of their sleeping on the job reached his ears so that he would not have them killed. The soldiers took the cash and started the story. It was still circulating when Matthew wrote this book, some decades later (Matthew 28:11–14).
The dividing line between hope of eternity and hopelessness of the grave lies in deciding between those two stories. Either Jesus was raised from the dead or Jesus never breathed again (1 Corinthians 15:14–20). Those who trust in Christ and those who refuse to believe are eternally and entirely separated by which they choose to believe (John 3:16–18).
The power of this wrongfully told narrative is still believed by many Jews even to this day. The left today is very strong in how they communicate their message. We know that the enemy is about killing, stealing and destroying.
The Lord God is not a Democrat nor is He a Republican. He is our Father and our King. However, as a Republican and when I look at policy, Republican policy better more aligns with Judeo-Christian values than does Democratic policy.
If abortion is needed to bring the death of a child, that child is considered living. If living, the child had to have received that gift of life from God – the giver of all life – and God is actively sustaining that new life in His goodness, even in the secret of the womb, as Psalm 139 teaches. Therefore, abortion is to be condemned because it rejects the goodness and sovereignty of God.
Some claim Jesus never said anything about homosexuality and therefore is neutral on the topic. Not true. Jesus was unequivocal in saying that to understand marriage and the sexual union, we must go back to the beginning and see how God created humanity and to what end. (See Matthew 19 and Mark 10.) Jesus holds up the creation story in Genesis not as a quaint Sunday school lesson, but as authoritative — reminding us that God created each of us male and female, each for the other. Moreover, the sexual union that God created and ordains is for husband and wife to come together in physical union, one flesh.
In addition, work is not God's way of punishing us. In fact, He blesses us with the ability to work so that we can honor Him. Colossians 3:22 says, “You who are servants who are owned by someone, obey your owners. Work hard for them all the time, not just when they are watching you. Welfare should not become a lifestyle and there is honor is work.
The fundamental goal for parents should be to guide their children to a saving faith in Christ and to set them on a path to maturity, bringing them to the full measure of His glory (Eph 4:13). Parenting is one of God's most important callings. Children are a gift and blessing from God (Psalm 127:3-5). Government has no roll in parenting in the area of defining what is right and wrong and using the public school system as a vehicle to indoctrinate our youth.
The secularization of American society is on rampage. It has gotten to the point now that it does its debauchery in open with no sense of shame. Using Hollywood, entertainers, and athletes as its acolytes, the venom comes directly into the hearts and minds of our impressionable youth. TV programming has changed over the past 20 years looking far different from the times of the 80s and 90s that centered on family programming with shows like Family Matters and the Cosby Show which demonstrated a strong nuclear family to shows today that parade and celebrate single mother led households. The reality TV rage is not actually reality nor is it God’s design.
What can be done and is it too late? It is not too late because God is with us but He needs His people to not be silent. Martyrdom is an unfortunate part of the Walk. Early Christians, after the death and resurrection of Jesus, were enemies of the Roman Empire. They were a group of people that were silenced for doing the right thing. The same is happening today when parents speak at school board meetings, when actors that speak out against the ills of abortion or when conservative speakers are attacked on liberal college campuses.
In Genesis God said, "Let there be light," and there was light. God saw that the light was good, and he separated the light from the darkness. I ask that we all be His light in the world whether we are Republican or Democrat. We must speak out against unrighteousness. We must speak against those things that are antithetical to God.
William Penn stated that if we will not be governed by God, then we will be governed by tyrants. We must listen to God’s narrative.
It is His report that we should believe.
