The Squeaky Wheel Gets the Oil
Conservatives Need to Rise up
Have you heard the expression, “It the squeaky wheel that gets the oil”? I am sure you have. Leftists today masquerade as social warriors, talk a lot and even scream a lot about the issues that they deem as important to society. Propped up by the establishment news media syndicate (ABC, CBS, CNN, and MSNBC), they can preach to the masses how foul and corrupt that conservatives are that the word conservatives to many personifies racists, bigots and xenophobes. This is far from the truth, but their venom has permeated into the fabric of American culture and has gaslit the minds of too many citizens.
Sad but true. When you tell a lie over and over many times, some start to believe the lie as truth.
But the crap is beginning to hit the fan across the United States of America. Many conservatives as well as liberals and unaffiliates are tired of being misrepresented. They are seeing the witch hunt of President Trump as a political assassination attempt. Had President not decided to run in 2024 they would have allowed him to go peacefully. Parents that are concerned with CRT being infiltrated into their children’s classrooms and the LBGTQ agenda being rammed down their throats are fed up. They speak up a school board meetings and are being character assassinated and labeled as domestic terrorists.
Ronald Reagan governed as a compassionate conservative during his tenure at the helm. But Reagan was no punk. He meant what he meant, and stuff got down. The Berlin Wall was eventually toppled and the economy that his predecessors, President Jimmy Carter created improved and transferred America in the 1980s. But today we have a new breed of conservatives that are tired of playing Mr. Nice Conservative. People like me and others are ready to speak up with facts and our first amendment right to declare righteousness over the issues of today.
The Durham County Democratic Party recently had an announcement in July on issues affecting the state. Discussing education was one of their areas. On the pamphlet they stated that “Americans value strong public schools as an important part of democracy. In NC, our state constitution guarantees all students an equal opportunity for a sound basic education is a free public school system.” I agree wholeheartedly with that statement. But after his statement followed, “Thanks to Republican lawmakers, NC is last in the nation in K-12 public school funding. Republicans want to take away tax dollars from public schools and given them to unaccountable private schools than can discriminate against students and families.” OMG!
Unpacking what the Durham Democratic Party is saying, for most of the last century, the state assembly was under democratic rule and North Carolina was still next to the bottom or the bottom in funding. As a student in Wake County Public Schools (WCPSS) in the 70s and 80s, I remember hearing this over and over in the news. Yes, I was a news geek as a kid. But what the Democrats are sugarcoating in the statement is their disdain for vouchers and that the rascally old republicans are stealing from the state coffers to underfund schools to give money to private schools. Lie, lie, and damn lie! When asked, most residents are in favor of vouchers and using them to put their child in the school environment of their CHOICE. Most parents believe and understand that the money should follow the child and if their child is in a school that does not meet their needs, then they have every right to place their child in a school that will meet their needs. Black and brown families in percentages higher than whites believe in the aforementioned.
The Durham Democratic party goes on to say that the republican legislature is refusing to release $655M in court-ordered funding for public schools and are taking up to $450M from public schools over the next decade by increasing private school vouchers. They go on to say that the legislature plans to underpay teachers and dictate what they say about history, climate, racism and more. Lie! Conservatives here in the state of North Carolina want our children to be taught all of our state’s and country’s history – even the poignant parts. But our legislature is putting safeguards in place to make sure that continued indoctrination from groups on the far left would allow parents to not be involved in parenting their children as it pertains to gender identity. Conservatives believe staunchly that the role of parents is to parent their children and not the state like how liberals desire.
Both sides of the political aisle can do more to improve education in our state. But when one side of aisle is demagoguing the other, then I as a conservative will speak out. Whether you are reading this article in North Carolina or another state in the America, if you are a concerned citizen, then vote your conscience after researching your candidates and primary elected officials that should not belong. To my liberal friends, we are all Americans but a lot of the dialogue your have been receiving from liberal politicians does not have much merit.
The squeaky does get the oil. But I asked that instead of listening to the squeak and applying the oil, we need to demand that they liberal media and the Democratic Party to stop giving American citizens the lube job with faulty information with side that create division and misinformation. I ask that God-fearing American rise up and let your voices be heard so that we are squeaky wheel that gets the oil.
